Thanks to Blondin Sires for sponsoring this unifying event.
The youth was there
In addition, for this seventh edition, the emphasis was once again placed on the next generation. In fact, 50 young people took part in the two training workshops on “Judgment techniques” and “Establishing the value of an animal”, offered to agricultural schools.
Wednesday, April 12 in the evening, 27 young enthusiasts participated in the presentation contest presented by Holdstar genetics inc. All of them proved to judge Frédéric Dubois that this was not their first experience and that it was in their blood. Seeing the passion that inhabits them encourages associations to organize activities of this kind to continue to increase the interest that the next generation has for breeding. Despite all the talents present, it was finally William Poirier and Laura Baron Langlois (9 years old and under), Angéline Soucy and Ryan Doiron (10 to 12 years old), Alyson Doiron and Nellie Jacobs (13 to 16 years old) as well as Alexanne Tremblay and Koralie Naud (17 to 21 years old) who have carved out a place for themselves, in their respective class, for the big championship. Mr. Dubois finally elected Alyson Doiron as Grand Champion of the presentation contest for the 2023 edition. She was followed by Nellie Jacobs and Alexanne Tremblay as Reserve Champion and Honorable Mention. Congratulation to all participants! This presentation contest aims to teach young people to show their animal in its best light, with natural ease.
